Not Feeling 100% in This Wild Irish Weather? Here’s My Go-To Wellness Ritual for Mind, Body & Soul
There’s something about this time of year in Ireland… the skies are grey, the winds feel like they could lift you off your feet, and the rain? Well, she’s showing off.
If you’ve been feeling a little under the weather — low energy, sniffly, off-balance, or just not quite yourself — you’re not alone. And more importantly, you’re not powerless.
As someone who works closely with the rhythms of the body and the seasons, I know winter asks us to slow down, tune in, and care a little more gently for ourselves. That doesn’t have to be complicated — in fact, some of the simplest rituals can bring the most comfort.
So here’s a peek into my rainy-day wellness plan. It’s a mix of natural support, small acts of nourishment, and yes — a bit of loving wisdom passed down and gathered over the years. I hope it inspires you to care for your body in the way it truly deserves.
My Winter Wellness Supplement Ritual:
Vitamin C – 2000mg: A daily must for my immune system.Take it in divided doses for better absorption.(Because let’s face it — tissues should never be a handbag essential!)
CoQ10: To gently support heart health ,energy formation on cellular level and metabolism, especially when the dark days feel a little heavier.
Magnesium: For calm nerves, better sleep, relaxed muscles — and a much softer inner world.
Zinc: Perfect for Immune System strength, clarity, resilience, and a touch of sparkle in your step (yes, even in wellies).
Vitamin B Complex: This one’s a quiet hero — supporting hormonal balance specially during changes,be it period, peri or menopause and your nervous system.Helping you feel emotionally steadier.
And hydration, hydration, hydration
Even if it means more trips to the powder room — it’s worth it. Water helps your body flush toxins, clear lymph and renew itself from the inside out.
Why Herbal Teas Are a Form of Self-Care?
There’s something so healing about wrapping your hands around a warm cup and letting it work its gentle medicine. Tea isn’t just a drink — it’s a daily ritual of grounding, soothing, and reconnecting.
Here are a few of my favourites when I (or my clients) need a little extra love:
Chamomile Tea: Soft, gentle, and calming — perfect for when inflammation, tension, or restlessness show up.
Ginger Tea: Warming, energising, and so good for sluggish days or cold fingers. A beautiful winter ally.
Fennel Tea: Wonderful after meals, this one soothes bloating and supports digestion with a light, comforting touch.
Blackberry Leaf Tea: Perfect for respiratory support. If your chest feels a bit tight or your breathing is heavy, these herbs can feel like a breath of fresh air in a cup.
And a Few Extra Touches of Love:

Breathe deeply — Even just five quiet minutes can reset your whole nervous system, stop overthinking and help coming back to yourself.
Create moments of beauty — A candle lit at breakfast, a few drops of eucalyptus in the shower, or curling up with a soft blanket can make the season feel nurturing, not draining.
Support your lymph & flow — A gentle dry brush, a warm bath, or a nourishing lymphatic massage (which I offer!) can make a world of difference in how your body feels.
You don’t need to be “productive.” You don’t need to “push through.” You need care. Support. And softness.
If your body is asking for a little extra help this season, I’m here — with treatments that combine holistic knowledge and deep nurturing: lymphatic drainage massage, clinical aromatherapy, and more.
Let’s turn this wild weather into a season of renewal, rest, and radiant health — together
With love,
Szilvia x
